Brazilian tech giant Softplan is investing in startups

One of the strongest Brazilian tech companies in business and public management software fields is Softplan. This week I had the pleasure of visiting this organization based in Florianópolis.

Softplan has almost 2 thousand employees and 3,500 clients. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this empire led by 3 partners: Moacir Marafon, Ilson Stabile and Carlos Augusto de Matos.

Technology, entrepreneurship and innovation. These values permeate every corner of Softplan's amazing building, in the north side of the Santa Catarina island.

The company started its innovation era more than 10 years ago. Hackathons, external tech programs and internal events are the way Softplan has built to improve its innovation process. They have a special sector covering 4 major areas: Public Administration, Justice, Construction Industry and Health.

I strongly recommend any entrepreneur to participate in a Startup Weekend — an event where you can build a startup in 54 hours, organized by Techstars.

This visit was organized by Aemflo Jovem, a group of young entrepreneurs I have been engaged with since 2015.
